Retracing histories to find examples.

Each edition of this journal presents different examples of activist practices that may be developed as the reader performs their own activism.

“2020-2021 has been tough years for activist practices. The impossibility to gather due to the sanitary situation made impossible protest, march, talk, party and other forms of activist practices, necessary to exchange opinions, point of view and take action. Activism migrated massively on social medias, at least more than before, and theses became a stage for discourses and opinions, sharing petition and ask for donations. Activism, and how do you perform it, is in constant mutation, it's a mirror of the time we live in and a good way to look at how a group react upon a conflict. Embracing this mutation also, help to create new ones, adapt them to a very personal level. […] The time of lockdown allowed a reflection on how can we act for a social or political in a different way. I firmly believe that actions needs to be as divers and creative as possible to involve a large public and constantly creating the surprise of which we are trying to communicate what we need.

In this publication I want to share what I tried to develop for myself as a designer and an activist to make my activist practice evolve. In this paper you will find divers articles and methods to connect craft with activism, how object can have a significant power, how can small gathering and making can bring some key conversations and debate and even a poster collection. I hope my reflections can nourish yours and maybe open discussions and creative moment.”
